The Highlights of Cappadocia Tour with lunch commences at 09:30 from your Goreme hotel or slightly earlier from other towns (pickup times for other locations will be communicated upon booking). Our journey begins with a drive to one of Cappadocia's paramount sites: the Goreme Open Air Museum. This expansive monastery complex boasts nine churches, each over a millennium old and open for exploration. Designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1985, the museum offers insights into the region's history, a narrative skillfully delivered by our knowledgeable guide. Spending 1.5 hours at the museum, we then proceed to Cavusin Village.

Cavusin Village, once home to both Turkish and Greek communities until the compulsory population exchange of 1924, provides an intriguing cultural backdrop. Our guide delves into the reasons behind this exchange and elucidates the cultural commonalities between the two communities.

Next, we drive to Pasabag Fairy Chimneys, renowned for hosting the best-preserved fairy chimneys in the Cappadocia region. Also known as "Monks Valley," Pasabag boasts numerous multi-headed fairy chimneys. Our guide imparts information about the formation of these unique structures and the broader region. Following this visit, we head to Avanos for a delightful lunch at a charming boutique restaurant.

Post-lunch, we witness a captivating kick-wheel pottery demonstration in Avanos—an art form dating back almost 4000 years, inherited from the Hittites. Subsequently, we embark on a 30-minute journey to explore the Kaymakli Underground City, an extraordinary architectural marvel featuring storage areas, churches, living quarters, wineries, and more.

Our final stop takes us to Pigeon Valley, offering a picturesque view of the valley and Uchisar Castle from a panoramic vantage point. Following this, we conclude the tour by returning you to your hotel around 5:00 pm.
